Cuchara
Cuchara is a quaint little mountain town nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. With unspoiled natural beauty, friendly people and peace and quiet, Cuchara is a great place to kick back and enjoy your vacation.
Stroll thru the village and get a bite to eat or enjoy a drink on the deck at the famous Dog Bar or Cuchara Yacht Club. Go shopping at the Cuchara Country Store & Gift Shop, Dakota Dukes, Cuchara Liquor, or have a good time at The Bear’s Den Mini Golf. Check out Cuchara’s Higher Ground Coffee Bar at the entrance to the Cuchara Mountain Resort, about 100 yards up the road towards the old ski area just off Highway 12.
Attend sunday morning chapel services at our historic Cuchara Chapel or the Cuchara Christian Fellowship.

LaVeta
“The gateway to the Cuchara Valley”. Just 12 miles from Cuchara is the little, laid-back town of LaVeta. A peaceful ranching & artist community that looks towards the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range. LaVeta is the local place to explore, shop, dine, and meet the friendly locals.

Take Colorado State Highway 12, “The Scenic Highway of Legends” which offers one of the most scenic, beautiful and historic drives in Colorado.
